Kevin Parent
It was in 1995 that Quebec discovered Kevin Parent with the release of Pigeon d'argile. Carried by the radio hits Nomade sédentaire, Boomerang, Seigneur and Father on the Go, this first album sold more than 375,000 units. The singer-songwriter from Gaspésie did it again three years later with his second opus Grand lecteur, petit faiteur, several songs of which once again monopolized the FM band: Frequenter l'oublie, Maudite jalousie, not forgetting Pignon sur rue which would become the theme of the eponymous Télé-Québec program. With these two albums, which are each certified Triple Platinum, Kevin Parent becomes a staple of the Quebec musical landscape. Cohabiting English and French, his discography then reflects his constant evolution and is now approaching one million units sold: Les Vents have changed (2001), the live Retrouvailles (2003), Fangleless Wolf Facing Winter (2007), Miguasha ( 2009), Facing the West (2014), Kanji (2016). Many prizes and distinctions (Gala ADISQ, Juno Prize, SOCAN) punctuate this career, which is also available on stage with several hundred shows, including numerous participations in the most prestigious festivals in the province, including Francos de Montréal, Festival d'été of Quebec and Woodstock in Beauce. Since 2011 and Café de Flore in which he co-starred with Vanessa Paradis, Kevin Parent has also appeared on the small and big screen in the television series All the truth, as well as in the films and documentaries La Maison du pêcheur (2013 ), The Calling (2014), The Gold of the Gulf (2015)

TRAD
Nicolas Pellerin & The Great Howlers
The modern trad music trio Les Grands Hurleurs celebrates its 10th anniversary with a 4th album released in December 2018. bb3b-136bad5cf58d_Chouia. In addition to superb collaborations by Jorane, Élage Diouf and the Quatuor esca, there is also one outstanding song per album he produced during these 10 years : Chez moi, Trégate et Corsaire.
Chouïa meaning a small amount, a little bit, marks the group's journey since its founding, each small step that has led it so far. The trio succeeds in producing a mixed, but well-rooted trad music; open, but conscious; respectful, but daring; which grooves, but which also touches. A tad trad, a tad classic, a tad percussive, a tad electric, a tad acoustic, a tad atmospheric, to arrive at a surprising whole.
The Chouïa show is presented in theaters and at festivals. The formation offers a stage performance that seduces. The traditional roots are expressed through superb pieces, sometimes more intense, sometimes softer, accompanied by anecdotes that make you smile. Violin, electric guitar, bass, feet and rich vocal harmonies come together to explore a multitude of emotions.
Since its founding in 2009, the trio has forged a solid reputation. He has performed more than 800 performances in the United States, Germany, France, Spain, the Czech Republic, Switzerland and Canada. He has participated in several major events, including a remarkable performance during the Grand Spectacle de la Fête Nationale sur les Plaines (2017).

Jean-Claude Gelinas
New show!
With TOUT OR NOTHING, Jean-Claude Gélinas tells us about his more rigid side. Without compromise, he is often excessive in his way of doing or not doing things.
Known to the general public for his character Réjean de Terrebonne, Jean-Claude Gélinas has also proven to be a complete comedian who masters stand-up comedy from every angle. During his last tour, counting more than 125 performances, the spectators noticed the dynamism and the objectivity of the artist… with or without costume!
A show by Jean-Claude Gélinas is gags per square foot, a rhythmic sequence of laughter and cheers, it's a fun that makes you happy : there is no compromise so that everyone has a pleasant evening

The Salebeards
Composed of Jonathan and Éloi Painchaud, Kevin McIntyre, George Belliveau and Jean-François Breau, Salebarbes is a dream vehicle for attaching the moorings of the past to the car of the present. Available since April 26, 2019 on the LA be label, the album Live au Pas Perdus is a real musical journey from Acadia to Louisiana during which French-speaking song, groove and joy are in the spotlight. Salebarbes harnesses the raw and festive energy of the Cajun repertoire with a dose of humor tinged with hope. The hope of restoring a little pride and the taste of celebrating in French. A form of cultural reappropriation, a reverse deportation. There is an urgency to sing. preferably in unison, this now that is crumbling. Our culture that barely remembers. The journey of our language, a ship that pitches like a bottle in the sea, carrying a single message: we are not dead
