Mario John

Mario Jean.JPG

Five years since Moi, Mario his last solo show, after more than 1,500 performances of his previous shows delivered in front of more than a million spectators, Mario Jean is back in force and in great shape, with a desire to renew himself, to progress and surprise again. His unique, versatile and unifying style allows him to address themes in which people recognize themselves, while surprising them. Among Going Forward's favorite subjects are human intelligence and stupidity, the joys and sorrows of aging, overconsumption, television and advertising, his children who are still at home and he reserves a number on sexual consent.

The veteran comedian, talented actor who puts on projects on stage (I'm listening to you) as on the small screen (Léo, Les pays d'en haut, District 31, 30 vies), is delighted to finally be back on stage with his stories and to get back on the road, meeting the public he has been visiting for several months already, with a version in the works.

“I've been a comedian for 25 years now, and even today, people are there. This is probably my greatest professional pride. Presenting my stories, in collusion with the audience in the room, is what makes me happiest. It's the pinnacle! I am aware of and grateful for this immense privilege of still being here, after all these years,” emphasizes Mario Jean.

With his simplicity, his relevance and his spontaneity, this complete artist, coupled with a frankly irresistible personality, looks forward to these numerous appointments, all over the province!

Jean-Claude Gelinas
New show!
With ALL OR NOTHING, Jean-Claude Gélinas tells us about his more rigid side. Without compromise, he is often excessive in his way of doing or not doing things. Known to the general public for his character Réjean de Terrebonne, Jean-Claude Gélinas has also proven to be a complete comedian who masters stand-up comedy from every angle. During his last tour, counting more than 125 performances, the spectators noticed the dynamism and the objectivity of the artist… with or without costume! A show by Jean-Claude Gélinas is gags per square foot, a rhythmic sequence of laughter and cheers, it's a fun that makes you happy: there is no compromise so that everyone has a pleasant evening_cc781905 -5cde-3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_

Inspired by classic American stand-up, Maude Landry delivers her ideas with simplicity and efficiency. Of a jack-of-all-trades nature, this self-taught artist likes to juggle with the many subjects she tackles. Maude quickly caught the attention of artisans in the industry. His pragmatic air and disturbed logic give his mockery an awkward ease. Original, casual in her candor, this left-field comedian always aims close to the target with precision. Maude Landry's humor is hard to describe but easy to love.

(Tribute to the Beatles)

The “live” Beatles experience!

HELP! - founded in 1999, are the most popular Beatles tribute band in Eastern Canada, and have nearly 750 shows to their name!! They have toured Canada, the US, the Caribbean, casinos, theaters, festivals and more. HELP! has always paid close attention to detail; the imitation of voices, harmonies and movements, the costumes identical to the originals, the playing and the look of authentic musical instruments - even the hair is identical!  the look – everything should be as “Beatles” as possible” according to Pascal, the manager and the 'Paul' of HELP! – “I even re-learned to play the left bass; Paul is left-handed, so I decided to become left-handed (but in show only!)”. HELP! recreates the spirit, charm and charisma of the Beatles, which made them so popular with audiences. Their goal is for all viewers to have as much fun as possible, and to experience the "feel" of having experienced seeing The Beatles in person - and in an interactive way - people singing and usually dance throughout the show!

Colin Moore.JPG

Colin Moore

olin Moore is a singer-songwriter from Montreal with a unique and bewitching voice, often compared to the greats: the voice of a young Springsteen, the rock of Petty, the road of Dylan, the energy rebellious of Ness, the strength of Cash... He offers us free texts singing love in all its extremes where friendship and loneliness rub shoulders cheerfully. Upon the release of his first album Leaving Home, he quickly got noticed and went on to a series of festivals: Festival d'été de Québec, Festival International de Jazz de Montréal, Canadian Music Week, South by Southwest , North by Northeast… Colin Moore tours tirelessly, both domestically and internationally, performing over 300 dates in two years, in the United States , in Europe, Canada and Australia, alongside artists such as Joseph Arthur, Alan Jackson, Rodger Hodgson, David Usher, Holly Williams, Jeff Martin, Sophie Hunger & Roseanne Cash. In April 2011, Colin Moore  was also nominated for the prestigious Grand Prix de la Relève Musicale Archambault and a GAMIQ award.

With his second opus Heart of the Storm, Colin Moore  presents us with more rock songs without putting aside the charm and the emotion of his acoustic pieces. Supported by his band, Ryan Battistuzzi (guitar), Vincent Peake (bass) and Dustin Moores (drums), the artist is ready to hit the road armed with his guitar and harmonica. Heart of the Storm  was recorded and mixed by John Whynot (Bruce Cockburn, Blue Rodeo, Lucinda Williams, Colin James) and mastered by Ryan Morey (Arcade Fire, Patrick Watson)._cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b -136bad5cf58d_Colin Moore  experienced this recording at the Tragically Hip studio as a deeply inspiring experience since it is one of his cult bands.

Inspired by the 21st century, conspiracy, misinformation and media manipulation . Assuming that everything is in place for these decades to be the last of humanity, le folk de Colin Moore evokes love which tears and which unites, the family and the remoteness, the road, the departures and the quests. Without wallowing in despair, it is rather with an urgency to live and an animal cry that Colin Moore  offers us his apocalypse. Des pièces comme Bible Song et Heart of the Storm ajoutent ainsi au disque une touche sombre, une facette de_cc781905- 5cde-3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_Colin Moore that we did not know. Pour équilibrer le tout, les pièces Brother et Long Road mettent de l'avant la sensibilité acoustique mieux connue de the singer-songwriter.

So far, Angel Forrest has had a glorious three-decade career that has  taken him all over the globe. After all this time, the experienced singer  continues to devote herself on stage. Through her new album, Hell Bent With Grace, Angel offers her perspective of a woman in her prime exposed to the public, as well as the lessons of a phase she sees as the autumn of her life, while she still feels like a young girl (She's Gone). The opus explores also difficult themes (The Blame Game), now that Angel takes a look back on his life, on his relations with the rest of the world and on_cc781905 -5cde-3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_herself. Musically, Hell Bent With Grace reflects Angel's rock influences, but the Québécoise recipient of six Chanteuse awards of the Year at the Maple Blues Awards in Toronto stays true to its blues, country and roots roots.

The Salebeards

Composed of Jonathan and Éloi Painchaud, Kevin McIntyre, George Belliveau and Jean-François Breau, Salebarbes is a dream vehicle for attaching the moorings of the past to the car of the present. Available since April 26, 2019 on the LA be label, the album Live au Pas Perdus is a real musical journey from Acadia to Louisiana during which French-speaking song, groove and joy are in the spotlight. Salebarbes harnesses the raw and festive energy of the Cajun repertoire with a dose of humor tinged with hope. The hope of restoring a little pride and the taste of celebrating in French. A form of cultural reappropriation, a reverse deportation. There is an urgency to sing. preferably in unison, this now that is crumbling. Our culture that barely remembers. The journey of our language, a ship that pitches like a bottle in the sea, carrying a single message: we are not dead
