Bernard Adamus

Bernard Adamus

Sorel Soviet So What – The Tour

The party, love, friendship: a trinity of all possibilities that Bernard Adamus increases with the stories of those around him. With his two albums that have sold more than 75,000 copies (including a gold record), Bernard Adamus has carved out a place of his own in the Quebec musical landscape (Félix Revelation of the Year, Écho Socan Prize, Félix Leclerc prize, several GAMIQs, etc.). For the third album, Sorel Soviet So What, he packed down the cloud and  the dejection in favor of the good times that roll, and signs even more raw texts, living from the paradox of being more personal but less intimate. Sorel Soviet So What is an exultant and vibrant collection of country with mojo and blues that grooves, which continues to tell the surroundings while opening up to the world.

Tell me Josephine

Joe Bocan

A true tribute to this great lady, JOSÉPHINE BAKER, Joe Bocan will carry you simply and excessively with this love and admiration for this woman, this artist. -136bad5cf58d_ of his life journey, real intensity,   or anecdotes deliciously told by the performer, these moments   will make the public smile and move. His family, his loves, his social implications will be at the rendezvous of confidences. Sometimes, a striking parallel   between Josephine's life and that of her interpreter Joe Bocan. Stories that intertwine, that look alike and that are sometimes just as different.

But besides his life, there are the songs. Songs that have survived, songs with rich and intoxicating   melodies, with chic lyrics of universal love. Beneath the flamboyant charms of sequins and feathers, these songs alone can exist, piano-voice or embellished with a symphony orchestra. Everything is allowed. It's Josephine Baker!

Storyteller

The Wish  Arleen Thibault

The finesse of her texts, a touching presence on stage, Arleen Thibault leads her hunt-gallery of stories in an original, rhythmic and humorous writing. Like neo-trad music groups (Mes Aîeux, les Batinses), she draws the belt of her tales of traditional and contemporary themes that she arranges in shows with variable geometries. Her feet shod to her stories, which she accompanies with foot rhythm, like a Rose Latulippe who had been forced to sit down during the devil's dance, Arleen raises the energy of her audience, which she catches in the detour and_cc781905- 5cde-3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_ratoure the pleasure of his abundant imagination to answer. Recipient of 5 Coup de Pouce 2015 Prizes at the Vue sur la Relève Festival in Montreal, the storyteller represented Canada at the 2015 Francophonie Festival in Sao Paulo, Brazil, told stories in France, Belgium, Lebanon, Congo and Côte d'Ivoire, Acadie and all over Quebec.

The Rock Pullers

Traditional music

In 2015, Les Tireux d'Roches begins its 17th year of existence. A long road dotted with musical camaraderie, collective creation and memorable tours.

Dominic Lemieux and Denis Massé were the founding members in 1998. At the time, the core was surrounded by Fred Pellerin and storyteller Anne Tessier. In 1999, Jeannot Bournival joined the formation and then, many musicians made their passage within the group.

With several tens of hundreds of shows to their credit, the group has never had so much fun getting together to play. Creativity has become a real group process. The stage has become a playground and a constantly renewed pleasure. A symbiosis largely shared with the public.

Always ranked as a beacon in the revival of traditional music in Quebec, the fact remains that Les Tireux d'Roches are powerful ambassadors of Quebec culture. Internationally, they are worthy representatives of an overflowing creativity in the image of today's Quebec. In the global village, they belong to the folk universe and world music.

In The Shed

Accomplices for almost 20 years, the Gaspésiens Éric Dion (voice, dobro, guitars, banjo, mandolin, percussion) and André Lavergne (guitars, lapsteel, percussion, voice) have a multitude of common musical projects. Between 2001 and 2005, they first shared stages all over Quebec, France and the United States with the Gaspé band Bottleneck. Winners of the 2004 La Relève en blues competition organized by the FestiBlues international de Montréal, the group also accompanies Nanette Workman. Then, in 2005, the group separated, but the two Gaspé musicians continued to work together on various musical projects and in 2014 they formed Dio Dans l'shed.

In the Shed en spectacle it's frenzied grooves punctuated by colorful improvised sections, on guitar, dobro, banjo or lap steel. They perform compositions with folk-country-blues accents and also draw from the traditional repertoire of the southern United States.

Daniel Boucher

Fifteen

Five albums

soon six

Hundreds of memorable, unpredictable parties.   Climbing sessions on the balconies.   Children who go on stage to sing tunes with   clown noses.   Labyrinthine musical flights.   Bold projections.   A songwriter who makes his chair chained to his ankle dance.

So.

Daniel Boucher is back on stage.   After "Ten thousand mornings", "The patent", "Songwriter", "Dracula", "The sun is out" and "The daughters of Caleb".

The heart on fire.   Tingling legs.   The army guitar.   Can't wait to offer you his new tunes.   Can't wait to revisit the ones you already know.

Ready, again, to dive headfirst into the present moment and train with it.   Without knowing where.   It will depend on us,  tsé.

That's how we like it anyway.

Rockabilly (The Voice 2016)

Alexander Brown & the Hellbound Hepcats

Alexander Brown & THE HELLBOUND HEPCATS bring back the sound of the 50s with the aplomb of the Johnny Burnette, Chuck Berry and Brian Setzer of this world.

Combining the raw energy of the artists from Sun Studios with a frenzied and catchy rhythm, the young trio from Montreal rock n' roll of freshness (more than welcome!) on today's rockabilly scene. Formed in 2006 as a duo, singer-guitarist Alexander Brown and bassist Jordan Peddie first drew their inspiration from artists on the then bubbling Montreal scene to give birth to their first compositions.

Stringing together a number of performances across the city, the duo quickly became masters of their genre, but it was not until 2007, with the addition of Sylvain Lemire on drums, that THE HELLBOUND HEPCATS took on the form that characterizes them today. today.
